Manglar films has three films currently in development: Solar, Moriviví, and Bachata Roja. Each film is a part of a series titled Stewing in a sanchocho de Amargue.

Bachata is nostalgia made audible, a genre born from grief, longing, and love lost. Once called amargue (“bitterness”), it is music that aches, clings, and remembers; the undercurrent emotions of the most recent series.

Solar bears the ache of home, the weight of masculinity, and quiet rupture of becoming. In Moriviví, to live is to be willing to die over and over again. Concluding with Bachata Roja, a period film of unrequited love. Here, the past isn’t gone; it lingers. It loops.
