Originally known as amargue (having the blues), Bachata produces sentiments of longing, melancholy and nostalgia; the undercurrent emotions of the most recent series of Manglar Films, Stewing in a sanchocho de Amargue. These films infuse the sentimentalities of bachata with cinema where form, idea, and emotion are being simultaneously conveyed in each shot.
